Mailing, not to be confused with emailing, is a method of sending promotional mailings, whether physical or by email. It is a method used in the campaigns of a growing number of businesses and associations of various sizes.
Mailing
A mailing is the mass mailing of advertising information by post or electronic means. Originally reserved for physical promotional mailings, the term is now applied equally to physical and electronic mailings (e-mailing).
Email management
A message, a personalized offer in the mailbox or in the email box: we are all used to receiving "mailings", whether they are physical or electronic. Often used in commercial prospecting, the mailing is also used to build brand loyalty.
But in fact, what is the difference between mailing and emailing? The underlying concept is the same: it is about sending promotional messages to potential customers or clients. We specifically use the term e-mailing when we talk about electronic mailing (emails), while the term "mailing" applies more generally to the mass sending of promotional mailings.
